2023 has been a busy year for Toshín between their nationwide Aretha Franklin Tribute tour earlier this year, overseas shows in London & Berlin, to a string of top festival appearances including Electric Picnic, All Together Now & Big Grill. And they’re not stopping there, Toshín are embarking on an Ireland & EU tour celebrating her original material with a new single to drop in the midst of it all. Toshín’s Autumn tour will take her to Dublin, Limerick, Cork Jazz Fest, Dundalk (hometown) and overseas to Greece, Norway and a number of others to be announced very soon!

Toshín, lead by the powerful voice of Toisin Bankole, is vibrant 6-piece band who take their inspiration from a variety of music spanning from early Motown to modern soul/RnB artists such as Tank and the Bangas and Anderson .Paak. Their debut EP ‘Get Your Life’ was released in 2019, and received high appraisal from John Barker, presenter of 98FM’s Totally Irish. The EP was followed by a nationwide Irish tour and key festival performances. Since then, Toshín’s profile has been steadily on the rise and shows no signs of stopping.

Their exhilarating live shows go from chilled out, from the heartfelt soul of Aretha Franklin to all-out James Brown-esque funky goodness, and has seen them play all of Ireland’s top music festivals including Electric Picnic (2022 & 2019), All Together Now (2022), Beyond the Pale (2022), Body & Soul (2019), Beatyard (2019) and Music Makers Festival UK (2019). Toshín have also supported Macy Gray on her Irish Tour and the incredible true soul outfit Staple Jr Singers, and performed a sold out headline shows in both Dublin’s Whelans and The Grand Social.

With a number new releases and an album in the pipeline, Toshín’s success is only set to grow!
