Stephen O'Dowd 

Born and raised in County Sligo, Stephen O’Dowd is of the fourth generation of a renowned musical family with deep roots in Irish traditional music. Drawing inspiration from folk legends like Thom Moore, Planxty, and John Martyn, Stephen places mythical stories, landscapes, and characters into his music. His multi-instrumental performances combine Irish traditional heritage with modern folk. Having performed solo at venues across Ireland and the UK, from London to Kerry, Derry, and even islands off Ireland’s rugged west coast, Stephen is gaining recognition as an artist in the Irish folk music scene.
